The Department of Agriculture is committed to providing services to agricultural entrepreneurs by adopting the latest technologies and implementing regulatory service activities. In line with that commitment, the Department of Agriculture has determined two core services. The first is to provide technical extension services to the target groups and clients in order to improve productivity, especially the food crops sub-sector. The second is to enforce related agriculture acts to ensure food safety and quality, protect the agriculture industry from potentially devastating plant pests and diseases, and facilitate international trade.
